Pattie PTCO Meeting Minutes 11/13/07
Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m.
Members present: Tracy Harper, Margie Otterblad, Kelly
Andrews, Tina Wiley, Anne Zetts, Jennifer Neubauer, Pam
Johnson, Kamey Tippett, Stephanie Gatewood, Lara Miller,
Donna Wooten-Williams, Karen Fernan, and Kristine Shephard.
1. Open forum: no comments
2. October minutes approved as read.
3. Principal’s comments: Mrs. Otterblad thanked the PTCO
members for the teacher work day meals, it was greatly
appreciated.
Sherri Croghan
has accepted Gifted class teacher position.
Interviews for new P.E. assistant have been completed.
4. President’s
report: Tracy reports PTCO had a successful October for
activities and fundraising efforts. Ice cream social,
McDonald’s spirit night, and Innisbrook gift wrap were all
activities sponsored by PTCO.
5. Treasurer’s report: budget handout at meeting has
adjustments to be made to reflect recently submitted
expenditures and income.
6. Membership: Karen reports that Mrs. Wince’s first grade
class was class with highest PTCO membership during
membership drive. This class will receive pizza party lunch
on 11/30/07. Karen will continue to encourage membership
participation with articles in PTCO paw prints.
7. Volunteers: no report.
8. Publicity: Stephanie reports deadline for articles will
be 12/3/07.
9. Hospitality: Lara reports teacher work day meals went
well. She is currently working on upcoming winter social
needs. Will solicit Starbucks for donation of coffee and
condiments for social.
10. Box tops: Mrs. Zetts and Mr. Terrillion’s classes are
top winners for most box tops collected. These classes will
receive an extra specials class of their choice. Next box
top competition will be in early spring. Current funds
raised were over $600.
11. Cookbook: Pam reports deadline for submission for
recipes in this week. Currently there has been a great
response from Pattie families. Discussion of when cookbook
will be available and what cost will be.
12. Winter social and bazaar: scheduled for 12/8, 10-2 p.m.
Discussion of decorations set up and clean up needs for
cafeteria and library. Volunteers to be contacted by Karen
for assistance with set up on Friday 12/7 and to volunteer
during bazaar on Saturday. Lara will coordinate
refreshments in cafeteria for morning. Currently there are
21 vendors signed up, this includes a table for PTCO for
membership and spirit wear.
13. Fundraising: Innisbrook had approximately $5000 in
profit. Spirit wear to be sold at bazaar. Discussion of
what items to sell and purchase. Suggestions for fleece and
hoodie items. Market day continues each month. Month of
December has cookie dough sales.
14. Movie night: Christine states she is collecting
reservations and payment. Pizza and drinks will be
purchased on Friday. There is need for volunteers to help
set up and clean up.
15. Discussion of having a Domino’s pizza fundraising night
where 20% of sales from Pattie families will be given to
Pattie ES. Discussion and questions, Tracy will talk with
manager.
16. Discussion of date for spring fun fair: 5/3 or 5/17 are
possible dates.
